Ben and I got this really cool shrubbery foliage plant at Lowes yesterday, but it didn't come with an information tag. So I was wondering if anyone knew what type of plant it was or how to take care of it. It's a mystery.
Stay tuned for more pictures of the apartment and Christmas tree! :)

I think it's a croton. In general any plant with such vivid coloring will need lots of sun to keep it happy! Also, you're gonna have to watch for humidity--your place might get mighty dry during the heating season (considering your heating needs are on the same level as the freaking Mojave Desert!!) So you might want to set it in a shallow plate (an old pie plate?) filled with pebbles or marbles and water. The pebbles will keep the plant's little feet out of constant water (bad, bad, bad) but provide some humidity. Good luck! It's a beauty!
